The stark monochromatic blue paintings of Adela Leibowitz seem to come off the pages of a children's storybook. Young innocent schoolgirls are realistically portrayed in desolate wooded settings. They evoke a vulnerability and a sensitivity yet a darker lurking is felt both within and around them. In sharp stylistic contrast, Ginna Triplett's delicate and detailed graphic renderings form elaborate chaotic montages.
